About this Wine
Torrontés is a light-yellow wine that occasionally shows golden and green hues. Its aroma is reminiscent of roses, jasmine, and geraniums. Its aromas suggest a sweet wine while its taste reveals a refreshing acidity: in the mouth it is pure fruit salad, with touches of honey or oregano. Born of the crossing of our indigenous Criolla with the European Muscat of Alexandria, Torrontés resembles both of her parents, preserving the floral aromas typically associated with Muscat as well as the light, bitter finish of Criolla. In the higher vineyards of the Cafayate and Famatina Valleys it takes on a wide range of floral bouquets, while a bolder, more citric and character is found in the Torrontés from the Uco Valley.
